I present another article, this time in the form of introduction to the topic: space-time tunnels. To all who visit my site thank you very much! I read your comments, many of them good advice and ideas. Also received several acknowledgments from people who are struggling with being overweight. I keep my fingers crossed for you!
I understand quantum physics is a difficult field of science. For me as well. Perhaps soon we’ll find out about something very important for us. It is therefore important to know the basics and general outlines principles and rights occurring in quantum physics, and recently often found in scientific articles to determine: quantum entanglement.
The world as we know it is a three – dimensional objects assign material: width, height and depth – is spatial dimensions. Spacetime has four dimensions (3 basic + time).
After taking time shows the four-dimensional spacetime we in which we live. . Over the past several years, physicists have argued that in fact, the world has more dimensions – 10, 11, maybe even 26.
There is a notion that wormholes lead to another dimension, and even the universe.
The existence of four dimensions is known for a long time. The fourth dimension Oscar Wilde wrote, and Fyodor Dostoevsky. Proved prophetic vision Hebert G. Wells so graphically depicted in The Time Machine, where time is the fourth dimension. The mystics and spiritualists it placed the ghosts and spirits, and some theologians new geometry allowed finally found a place for heaven and hell. Accompanied by a process of great interest accused of fraud Henry Slade, which have been incredible tricks, claiming that it can penetrate into the fourth dimension. Physics entered the fourth dimension with the theory of relativity. But it does not owe the discovery of Einstein’s geometric sense of time. The concept of spacetime introduced in 1907, the mathematician Hermann Minkowski, which Einstein considered initially as „superfluous learning.” Soon, however, appreciated the great importance of the idea of constructing the general theory of relativity. The universe then became a four-dimensional with the properties of time and space defined by the distribution of energy.
In April 1919 a little-known mathematician who was born in Racibórz, Theodor Kaluza studied the equations of general relativity, but not four, but five dimensions of space and showed that after an appropriate transition to the four dimensions obtained by the usual Einstein equations and Maxwell’s electromagnetic theory. In other words, Kaluza demonstrated the unity of electromagnetic forces and gravity, assuming that they act in a five-and not only in four-dimensional space-time. The reasoning made a great impression on Einstein. The universe then became a four-dimensional with the properties of time and space defined by the distribution of energy. Oskar Klein – Swedish physicist who in 1926 significantly improved the theory of Kaluza – argued that the motion along the fifth dimension can take place only on the length of the millions of times smaller than the size of an atom. This makes this dimension is practically unobservable. The process of reducing the dimensions of space, by narrowing traffic in these dimensions to very small distances is called invisible to the world around us in our dawn . The existence of this process is postulated in all modern theories of multidimensional microworld.
Very much effort has gone into the creation of the general theory of everything. Among the various approaches also returned to the Kaluza-Klein theory, which despite modifications and improvements, however, did not meet expectations. The most serious candidate for the general theory of everything for a long time seemed to string theory, in which the primary object is not a dimensionless particle, but one-dimensional string. All types of forces and a wealth of elementary particles appear in this theory as the vibrations of the strings. For example, the gravitational lowest tone string to form a closed loop. With simple tones arise wielotony, and their chords and harmonies, of which the largest are the composers never dreamed of. According to string theory we move in a world that penetrates at least 10 dimensions.
Four of them are observable to us. The first three form a grid in which we live and give everything dimensions: height, width and depth, while the fourth dimension is time. Superstring theories assume the existence of as many as 10 dimensions or 11 (if counted zero dimension, which is the quantum dot).
Quantum physics describes exactly the other dimensions. The fifth dimension you can imagine as a branching timeline, which shows a fourth dimension. Thus, the fifth dimension is our choice of path in life. The sixth dimension is possible parallel worlds, ie worlds in which they are built completely different fifth dimensions than in ours. In other words, the sixth dimension contains all the possible paths of development of the universe since the inception of the first particle. The seventh dimension goes back to an earlier point and contains the infinity, that is, the point at which he formed our universe. The eighth dimension is even more remarkable, as it has in the various infinity. In this dimension universes are completely different from ours, ruled by very different laws of physics. Ninth dimension creates a bond between all nieskończonościami located in the eighth dimension and capable of moving between them. The tenth dimension is the point in which they arise all the possible infinity.
Virtually all reasonable attempts to create a grand unified assume that in fact there are more than four dimensions, but all these are redundant kompaktyfikacji described earlier, so they are invisible to the world around us. More recently, however, if the opposite approach. Among the authors is a prominent theorist of Warsaw University, Professor Stefan Pokorski. The new concept assumes that the fundamental level the world has fewer dimensions than four, maybe even dimensionless. This is what we experience as the spatial dimension of the phenomenon are the result of a particularly symmetric forces. It’s hard to guess what will be the fate of this idea. Perhaps it is the key to a general theory of everything, it can also be dropped soon.
On this day I finish my article. Next will be soon. Regards, today, Friday – good and warm weekend! Here, in Wielowieś considerably colder – this morning the temperature was only 2 degrees C.
Ps. I enclose photos of the charming and mysterious sky and beautiful flowers.
